RISC have advised that due to the snow and ice, the car park is impossible to get to, and the pavements are dangerous. Please remember only to travel if absolutely necessary.

It's that time of year again - Christmas time! And we at TeamTV think it would be really nice to get everyone together for a good old Christmas shindig seeing as this coming Thursday (17th December) will be the last we all see each other before the new year.

Amateur Filmmaking, Volunteers, and the Law

With low to no-budget filmmaking becoming more accessible and prolific, it is becoming increasingly important that the creative, technical and acting personnel involved understand the importance and legal issues around collaborative projects.

In an effort to dispel some of the confusion and myths around collaborative filmmaking with relation to UK law, this article hopes to help filmmakers on their way.

DepicTIn an effort to promote all the different available film festivals that our members, or indeed anyone, might find enjoyable and feasible to enter, TeamTV would like to highlight the DepicT! festival.

Following on from our 2009 basic Teaching and Learning programme (101 series), members were encouraged to get together in teams of 1-3 and create a short film of about 30 seconds - 3 minutes in length, using randomly assigned elements and the knowledge they had gained from the programme.

Call for submissions - 2 Days Later film festival

2 Days Later is a short horror film competition specifically designed to encourage filmmakers, enthusiasts and students to produce a 10 minute horror film in only 48 hours on a micro-budget. All competition entries are shown to a public audience, and judged by a panel of film industry professionals, competing for film industry donated prizes at a special Halloween Screening Event in Margate. Winning submissions will also receive global website exposure and international promotion to other film festivals and film industry organisations.

Changes to the Schedule

Following the unprecedented heatwave we've had in the UK and a droop in attendance which we think is related to this; we have had to push back our schedule and move things around based on avialability of the subject experts.

Scriptwriting in the cloud

Recently added to the list of things TeamTV is offering as part of our new format is a colaborative scriptwriting opportunity (also known as a 'Cloud' script. The idea is to start with a basic bit of video and for everyone to add ideas, concepts, shot notions, dialogue and all sorts of ideas so we can pick the best bits and, time permitting, use them as a part of our activity schedule.
